Property Management System Integration with AP00 on RS-232C:
The Application Processor card (AP) manages guest and administration extension status and stores call information. The AP card provides four RS-232C interface ports for a Property Management System (PMS) terminal, a Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR) / MCI, MCI terminal and a Hotel Printer.
Property Management System (PMS):
PBX provides a data link interface to the customer supplied Property Management System (PMS) accommodating hotel management features. The PMS can be any computer connected to the PBX via a RS-232C or a LAN interface. It communicates with the PBX using the specified protocols.
The data link interface allows the PMS to accommodate both front- and back-office hotel management features, by providing a means of communication between the PMS and the PBX for features such as
Check In/Check Out
Message Waiting
Station Message Detail data
Do Not Disturb
Room cutoff.
Commands:
Assign AP00 card as AP00
050 > AP no (04 to 15) > 04: AP00
Note: AP no is the sense switch settings position
AP00 initialization
Note: Make the AP00 card to off-line mode by changing the switch SW1 (2,3) to off position.
D101 > 0000 > CCC
Assign buffer limit in AP00
D003 > 29 > 1000
Clear billing buffer
D102 > 0000 > CCC
Note: Revert the switch 2, 3 to on
Initialize all the four ports data
D100 > D001 > CCC
PMS configuration in port 0:
D001 > 20 > 2 = 1200 bps baud rate
D001 > 21 > 0 = Stop bit length 1
D001 > 22 > 0 = Data length 8
D001 > 23 > 1 = Parity Even
D001 > 80 > 4 = PMS
D001 > 81 > 0
D001 > 82 > 6 = PMS Format
D001 > 83 > 0
D001 > 84 > 6 = IMS Procédure
D001 > 85 > 49
D001 > 86 > 33
D001 > 87 > 8
D001 > 89 > 70
D001 > 90 > 70
D001 > 91 > 3
D001 > 92 > 15
D001 > 93 > 3
D001 > 94 > 32
D001 > 95 > 24
D001 > 96 > 24
D001 > 98 > 0
Once this is done PMS is ready to test. PMS can be tested using PMS simulator not in hyper terminal. Remaining ports can be assigned for SMDR only, MCI for voice mail integration or SMDR and MCI together.
I have one IPS 2000 system for hotel that integrated with third party PMS. The problem is when guest checking out where some of the call charges posted double. The third party PMS claimed that it was PABX that sending the string twice to the PMS that cause the double post issue. Any advice or setting that needed to be done in the PABX?
