Conference call is a process of connecting multiple peoples together for group discussion. This can be achieved through service provider or through your own PBX. NEC SV8300 has 16 sets of three party conference / four party conference for Dterm users. Also Sv8300 has built-in 32 party conference trunk circuit which can be configured as 8 party conference calls X 4 groups, 16 party conference calls X 2 groups, 32 party conference calls X 1 group.
Basically it requires license to activate and the licenses are for every 8 conference circuits. One license activates 8 party conference and for 32 party conference / meet-me conference we need 4 nos of license.Apart from meet-me built in conference, SV8300 has multimedia conference facility which requires hardware and license. This in-built circuit provides free conference call facility.
One interesting question which is not mentioned in documentation is which circits are used when system has multiple CPUs. Is it local processor or Main Unit CPU? Is this the same for both 3/4 party CNF and for 8-32 party conference?
ReplyDeleteAccording to manual 3/4 party conference is 16 for single unit system, 32 for multi unit system.
ReplyDelete32 party conference should be in main unit only
