SV 8100 Installation - Part 1

Description: 

This article describes some useful tips to follow while installing SV8100, before start up it is always a good practice to load the system data to default. Press the load switch located in the CPU, then power up the system, hold the load switch for 3 seconds and release it.

Wait for some time for the CPU to put all data's to default and to come to standby mode. Once system default is executed, follow the below steps to configure some basic setup.

Setting Different Tones:

After this setup save data and restart PBX.

10-01-(01-07): Set Time & Date

20-02-07: Set the format you want.

How to Configure Other Units in SV8300

Description: 

Once unit 01 is prepared by following the procedure to default SV8300, connecting multiple units is the secondary work to do. In a similar way to the first unit data load procedure, put all the data's in unit 02 for example to default by keeping the sense switch to position "A". 

Once the LED comes to normal state, put the sense switch position to "2" and wait for few seconds to unit 02 communicate with unit 01. In a similar way perform the same procedure for unit 03 and unit 04 by keeping the sense switch position to 3 and 4 respectively.

How to Default SV8300

Description:

CPU blade can be put to default factory settings either by connecting PCPRO or by using the sense switch in the CPU. The best practice to put the CPU to default is by using sense switch.

Procedure to load default data:

Step1: Mount DLC card to “Unit 01” (LENS number is Unit 01+Slot 01+Circuit 01). Then connect Multiline Telephone.
    
Step2: Change SENSE switch to “A” on CPU Blade.

Step3: Press and release RESET switch on CPU Blade.

Step4: Monitor LED on CPU Blade.
During Default office data: [RUN] lamp is lighting & [SYSD] lamp is blinking.
In case of load default data succeed. [RUN] lamp lights off & [SYSD] lamp lights off and [S2] lamp lights on.
In case of load default Office data is failed : [RUN] lamp lights on and [ALM] lamp lights on.

Step5: Change SENSE switch to “1”.

Step6: System automatically runs initial itself. [RUN] lamp will blinking.S2 lamp became on.

Step7: Make sure 010101 port is feeding “STN number 300”or “STN number 301”in IP phone.

Step8: Once the data is set to default the IP address of maintenance port is 192.168.1.1 and the VoIP port IP address is 172.16.1.1 if installed.

SV8100 Analog Phones Caller ID Setup

Description: 

This article explains how to setup or enable caller id on all analog phones. Following are step-by-step guide for SV8100 caller id configuration.

Programming:

11-01-01: This command is for assigning numbering plan, we will take example of 1XXX extension series

11-02-01: Assign extension numbers to available port

15-01-01: Assign name to extension numbers

15-03-01: Assign dialing type of extension number (1 for DTMF)

15-03-09: Assign 1 to enable caller id for analog extension

15-03-11: Select the type of caller id format supported by your single line telephone, 0:DTMF, 1:FSK

NEC SV8300 Attendant Night Transfer

Description:

When the Attendant Console is in Night mode, any operator calls are automatically routed to a predetermined
Night station.

Programming:

08 > 018 > 1: to activate attendant night transfer facility
5113 > 00-03 (Attendant group 00 - 03) > XXXX: Night transfer extension number
6006 > 0-7: Desk con number > 0: To enable night switch 

Operating Procedure: 

Just press the night button in the SN716 desk console to activate and deactivate night transfer.
